Andy Hampsten, former professional
racer and now a Tuscan based fun-hog, founded Cinghiale Cycling Tours in 1997.
Andy runs the company with his crack team of guides and support staff, and he
rides on every tour. Our goal is for you to have fun, ride in great company,
eat and drink heartily, and meet the people of our favorite places in Europe.
We'll take you off the beaten path to discover the genuine culture of Tuscany
and the Dolomites.Riders find our tours an excellent opportunity to not only
improve their riding skills, but to hone their taste buds and make great new
friends while having an unforgettable vacation.

What is a Cinghiale?
(Say 'ching-GYAH-lay'). The wild boar roams the uncorrupted
Tuscan landscape at will, eating the best grapes, olives, mushrooms or whatever
else takes his fancy and ignoring the crowds in pursuit of a good time with
his pals. We like that. So we adopted him as our mascot. A beloved symbol of
Tuscany for centuries, cinghiali are strong, fierce and fast, with
a fuzzy coat. Oh and did we mention delicious? Tastes like pork, only with
a more pronounced flavor.
