Private Group Tour: Across the Italian peaks

Saturday, July 7 to Tuesday, July 17, 2018

This tour is designed specifically to meet the interests of a private group, not open to the public.

$5,500 per person, $800 extra for a single room supplement.

Hors pigable.

Madness, but doable. The goal is to hit as many of the great or notorious Italian mountain climbs possible.

Headlined by: Ghisallo, Gavia, Mortirolo, Stelvio, Pordoi, Giau, Fedaia, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Crostis and Zoncolan, with other beauty climbs in between. We will recuperate with food, massages and liquids of all types.

If you are invited then train hard, and send your orthopedic surgeon some chocolates.

Ten nights and ten days to ride, the eleventh day is a travel day.

Tour starts over lunch July 7 in Bellagio.

We suggest arriving early to soak in the beauty of Bellagio, or fly in July 7 to Milan Malpensa on the AA direct flight to meet a 9:45 shuttle.

On the final day we will take guests to the Udine train station for connections to Milan, or other parts of Italy.

1988 Giro d’Italia  Retake

Saturday, August 25th to Monday, September 3rd, 2018

$4,100 per person, $600 extra for a single room supplement.

4+ pig riding—Oh dear. It’s been 30 years since Andy won the Giro, and now we are going back to the scene. We will ride and tell stories about key stages that helped, or hurt Andy on his way to eventual victory. The Gavia stage into Bormio, the Duran stage that nearly took victory from him, and many more stories from other giri.

Look for big mountain riding for experienced cyclists with four 100+k days over mountain passes.

We will begin the tour riding the famous Gavia and Stelvio passes of the Italian Alps before riding via Bolzano to the Dolomites, and ending the extravaganza with a final transfer to Vittorio Veneto.

Nine nights and nine days to ride, the tenth day is a travel day.

Fly in and out of Venice (VCE). The tour will start with a shuttle on the 25th from hotel TBD in Venice at 8 a.m.

Schedule your return flight for Monday, September 3rd, or later.
